Graduate Internships in Politics and News - London
England
Term: Summer
Dates: May 31- July 13
Description:
This program provides students from a variety of academic fields with an opportunity to work in London-based organizations in order to gain a comparative understanding of the United States and British work environments. Students are placed in full-time internships or on research projects with London-based political, media, news or public policy organizations. An effort is made to place interns in organizations whose activities match their interests. Such matches are the norm, although they cannot be guaranteed.
Highlights:
The internship period is augmented by weekly, early evening seminars chaired by the program director. Students report to each other on their work and experiences during these sessions. A trip to Oxford University to watch an Oxford Union debate is among the other features of this program.
Qualifications:
Any student who is enrolled in a graduate degree program or who has graduated from college with a degree in a discipline appropriate to this course is eligible to apply.
