Medical Internships in Nepal
Nepal
Term: Throughout the year
Dates: Completely Flexible - You decide your start and end dates
Description:
It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of Nepalese, especially women and children, suffer unnecessarily due to a lack of basic medical care. Working at a hospital or clinic is an opportunity to provide a much needed service and learn firsthand about basic healthcare in a third world country. If you have interest or experience in a particular field, let us know and we will try to create a program tailored to you. Here, the intern will be able to receive hands-on experience administering care to the people of Nepal. Your level of responsibility will be determined by your enthusiasm and your aptitude to learn new things. Interns are often invited to observe in the OR for educational opportunities. Even as a pre-med, you may end up doing ultra-sounds, x-rays, injections, etc. This is a great program for serious students who are ready to roll-up their sleeves and learn from Nepali professionals!
