Highlights:
Founded in 2000, The Armenian Volunteer Corps (AVC), a registered non-profit foundation in Armenia, provides skilled Diasporan Armenians with the unique opportunity to live and work in Armenia for service terms as short as 1 month to as long as 1 year. AVC aims to help Armenians in the Diaspora and Armenia reap the benefits of working together for the common goal of building a strong country and nation. Since 2001, AVC has assisted scores of volunteers in finding fulfilling placements in schools, non-profit organizations, churches, and businesses. AVC volunteers gain new insight into their own identity, growing and developing personally and professionally, while sharing in the exciting process of nation-building. AVC's motto is "come move mountains" because living and working in Armenia is an act of faith and an investment of hope in the future of Armenia.

Armenian Volunteer Corps's Mission Statement: The Armenian Volunteer Corps provides dedicated individuals who are at least 21 years of age the opportunity to serve in Armenia on short, medium and long term assignments in a variety of fields. Through this program, volunteers not only have the opportunity to fully discover themselves and their culture, they also bridge the gap between Armenian communities in the diaspora and the homeland. Through the personal, professional and spiritual relationships they form, volunteers provide invaluable service to the homeland by enriching the people and helping to build the communities within which they work.
