Description:
The Dresden Internship Program offers students with advanced German language skills the opportunity for language study and coursework with a professional internship in the culturally rich city of Dresden, Germany. Students enrolled in this option choose an internship in the place of one of their university courses. After completing the intensive four-credit German-language and cultural-immersion course, students are placed in their internships.
Highlights:
Students begin their internship during week eight and continue to work for an average of three to four days a week while also enrolling in two or more courses at the TUD. During the final week of the program, students attend a capstone seminar in which they complete final work on the academic component of the internship and deliver final presentations. Internships placements vary according to students' interests, backgrounds, previous work experience, and language abilities.
German faculty teaches all TUD courses. Upon successful completion of a semester, students earn 15-20 Boston University credits.
